Attractions & Recreation

  • The Five Ponds Wilderness area is 95,525 acres and lies between Cranberry Lake and the Stillwater Reservoir. This area offers some of the best remote wilderness opportunities in the Adirondack Park.
  • Cranberry Lake lies north of the Five Ponds wilderness area. Cranberry Lake is 11 square miles and has 55 miles of shoreline, 70% of which is state owned.
  • Many of the ponds, rivers & streams in the area have excellent trout fishing.
